The Zoo

Keyan has two cousins all born within a few weeks of each other, so we had a big family birthday party this past Saturday at the Hogle Zoo in Salt Lake City.  

We saw lots of animals,

 but the bird show was by far the coolest thing that day.  The birds are trained to orchestrate the entire show on their own (they took their cues from the music on the overhead speakers).  We had perfect seats, too. The birds grazed our heads several times as they swooped over the audience. 

To finish off the day, we rode the Zoo Train-

nothing spectacular for Jono or me, but Keyan was fascinated by it, so I guess it was worth the three bucks :0)
