When the celebrities come ski in Utah, they usually hire a nanny to make sure their children have a good time, too. My sister's friend is one of those nannies, and last weekend the celebrity whose children she tended was none other than Pierce Brosnan. Pretty sweet, I know... but the coolness factor is not the point of my post :)
Check out Pierce's lovely outfit. He is not only wearing a braided belt, but it's brown!!!! (And obviously he's wearing a black shirt). Two big fashion faux paux, am I right? But that's not the point, either. After all, I'm nowhere close to being fashion savvy.
The point is- I find this picture so refreshing. When they don't have someone to do it for them, most celebrities dress and look like normal people. And yet there are so many people out there who go to ridiculous lengths to imitate celebrity fashion. This picture proves that if you want to dress like a celebrity, just be yourself!

OR--fashion is what you adopt when you're trying to express who you are. I like that better. Because I have to say, my shiny red flats with the sweet velvet bow.....they are exactly who I am (or at least how I feel).

Oh, Tiff... you know I love you! When you wear your red flats, you wear them because it's who you are... not because you're trying to be someone else (and the shoes are adorable by the way). I guess what the quote really should have said is, "Someone else's fashion is what you adopt when you don't know who you are." :)

May I just say that I think he looks very good looking in that picture! I think what's refreshing is that even without make-up artists he is still a really good looking human being. Have you ever seen Oprah or Kevin Costner without professional help....they don't even look like the same people!
It's true, Alicia. Pierce Brosnan is definitely one good looking guy all on his own. I haven't seen Oprah or any other celebrity without makeup on... but I remember one morning my freshman year, I went to the floor bathroom to shower & there was a girl there that said, "Good morning, Chanté!" I said good morning back, but was bewildered as to who the individual was. Turns out, it was a girl on our floor who always wore very heavy makeup. It was pretty funny.

Hey! So last Sunday me and Jack were on the computer together and came across someone's blog. Of course, that led us for the next hour looking at people's blogs from the ward and when we came to yours Jack was like, "hey, that looks like pierce brosnan, wow! That is pierce brosnana!" Pretty cool, I like that we can find happiness when someone we know knows someone who met someone famous! :)
