Over the past few months, I have viewed countless blogs that describe a super fun tradition: themed meals for events like Valentine's Day or Dr. Seuss's birthday. Every time I would read about one, I would think... "Wow. I am so not creative." So I vowed that St. Patrick's Day would be different! I went to familyfun.go.com and got inspired by their festive ideas. Ergo, we dined on some very "Green Cuisine" today. In no way was it Irish, but it was delish-ish!
Our beautiful array

Spinach linguine with pesto sauce
A green salad (romaine, avocado, cucumber) & parsley garlic bread
The sweet stuff. We drank homemade limeaid with our meal, and enjoyed green grapes & kiwi for dessert
The surest sign of a successful meal: a happy kid :)

That looks sooooo good! A lot better than our green food colored food that I tried to pass off. I'll have to talk to you next time to get some fun ideas.
How creative! The fettuccine looks scrumptious!
I am ashamed to admit that we did absolutely NOTHING for St. Patty's! I didn't even tell the kids that is was St. Patrick's Day. Being sick completely toasted any desire to be creative. Oh, well, there's always next year:o)
That looked really good! Keyan sure looked cute :)
How do you do a signature like that? It's really cute!
YUM, I want recipes! Only thing about green food- it comes out the same color it goes in...Noah's diaper was like hunter green the day after St. Patrick's Day! :)
your green food looks WAY more appetizing than ours. Yours was naturally green-I like that!
Yummy! That all looks wonderful and I happen to love green too! So creative, so creative!
