Too Many Faces or a Few Friendly Faces

Part of me wishes I had never signed up for Facebook. I concede that it is much more convenient to find everyone in one collective spot, and I concur that it can be thrilling to reconnect with someone you've lost touch with over time. Initially anyway. Aside from that, I think Facebook is the ultimate time waster. I am amazed at how easy it is to sit & mindlessly browse and comment on the statuses of people who, for the most part, I really don't care enough about to know their every thought & action. If we weren't friends in high school, why am I so suddenly concerned about maintaining a virtual friendship with you?

Blogging on the other hand... it's a more intimate group. Let's face it: I can count on one hand the number of people who follow my blog. And that's okay. Because the other thing I like about blogging is that I can write about whatever I want. It's more of a life journal for me.

It's not like I'm going to delete my FB account anytime soon. But I don't need to visit the site twelve times a day. Or even once a day. I just need to retrain myself so that when I'm reflecting on something I want to share or remember, I head here. The faces may be fewer, but they belong to truer friends.

That's so nice and true! I much prefer blogging to FB. Also, it's seems more beneficial since I can use my blog as almost like a journal. Hooray for more blog posts from Chante!

I couldn't have said it better myself. I'm a true blogger too, and might I add how fun it is to print out my blog in a book. It's so cool! I did it for my christmas and I'm going to continue that tradition each December for sure!

How much does it cost to print out a blog?

@Megan, that's something I've been meaning to do for a while now. What site do you use?

@Amy (in the event Megan doesn't see the updated comments)... I think there's a few different sites, but you could try Blurb.com or Bookemon.com

I so agree with you on this point. I need to make a better effort at updating my blog rather than my facebook. Ever since i signed up for facebook it has taken over my blog. I need to switch it back around.

When you're right, you're right.

And I love reading all of your posts! It's been a while since I blogged....

Yeah, and when you don't update your blog very often it gets slightly forgotten by your friends. :) j/k But I hadn't seen any updates then just today I came and there a ton! I love it, and sorry for all my comments.
